A custom home should reflect your land, your lifestyle, and the way you want to live in it. Beaver Mountain has spent more than 40 years helping clients throughout Upstate New York and the Northeast do exactly that.
From site-specific design and in-house engineering to precision-crafted building systems and builder coordination, our family-owned team helps connect the major parts of the process so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
We also look beyond the price of a plan or materials package to help you understand the broader investment required for the completed home. That early clarity supports better decisions, more accurate comparisons, and fewer surprises along the way.
Every Beaver Mountain home begins with a deeper understanding of how you want to live. Some clients come to us with lakefront land and a vision for summers with family. Others are planning a mountain retreat, a retirement timber home, or a year-round log home designed for gathering, privacy, and comfort. Wherever you are building, our team helps shape the home around your site, your lifestyle, and the moments you want it to hold.
Many Beaver Mountain homes blend more than one style, setting, and structural approach. Each featured home offers ideas to carry forward, but your design will be shaped around your own land, lifestyle, and vision.

Building a custom home involves many coordinated decisions. Beaver Mountain helps bring the major pieces together, from early site planning and design through engineering, materials, builder coordination, and construction support, so you have a clearer path forward at every stage.
Every custom home begins with a conversation. This complimentary consultation helps you understand what may be possible for your land, vision, timeline, and anticipated investment. We look beyond the cost of a plan or materials package to discuss the broader project and give you a clearer basis for planning before any commitment is made.
We visit your land before we design your home. Seeing the property firsthand allows us to understand its views, topography, access, orientation, and natural features, so the design responds to what the land actually offers. From there, our in-house design team develops a home shaped around your site and the way you want to live in it.
Our in-house structural engineering team prepares permit-ready construction documents tailored to regional structural and energy-code requirements. Keeping design and engineering closely coordinated helps reduce gaps, revisions, and delays as the project moves toward permitting.
With plans finalized, your building systems are fabricated and packaged at our facility in Deposit, NY. Materials are precision-crafted, organized by assembly sequence, and stored under cover until delivery. When they arrive on site, your builder receives the Beaver Mountain building system and included materials organized to support an efficient, accurate installation.
We coordinate deliveries with the builder’s schedule and remain available for technical questions, documentation, and guidance related to the Beaver Mountain system. If a builder has not yet been selected, we can help identify and recruit qualified contractors in the project area.
Our relationship does not end when the materials arrive. We remain available throughout construction to answer questions related to the plans, materials, and Beaver Mountain building system. Many clients return years later for additions, guest homes, renovations, and other projects.
Building conditions vary widely across the Northeast. Local codes, permitting, climate, contractor availability, site access, and regional construction practices all influence how a home should be designed and planned.
From the Catskills and Adirondacks to the Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley, and beyond, Beaver Mountain designs homes that respond to the land, climate, views, and lifestyle of each region. Whether you are building on a lakefront property, wooded acreage, mountain site, or family land, our team helps you plan with the realities of your location in mind.

Planning a custom home comes with a lot of questions. Here are a few answers to help clarify how Beaver Mountain works, what we provide, and how we support clients from early planning through design, delivery, and builder coordination.
Beaver Mountain is a custom home design, engineering, and manufacturing partner specializing in site-specific homes and precision-crafted building systems. We help clients plan the home, prepare the structural and material package, coordinate with the selected builder, and provide technical support through construction.
Beaver Mountain is the design, engineering, and building-system partner, not the general contractor. We design the home, prepare the structural documentation and material package, coordinate with the client’s selected builder, and provide technical support related to our system. The builder manages the jobsite, subcontractors, schedule, and construction process.
Beaver Mountain works with clients throughout Upstate New York and the Northeast, including the Catskills, Adirondacks, Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley, Berkshires, Poconos, and surrounding regions. We regularly design custom homes for lakefront properties, wooded acreage, mountain sites, and rural land.
Yes. Site-specific home design is an important part of our process. We consider your land, views, slope, access, privacy, sunlight, and regional building conditions so the home feels connected to its setting and practical to build.
Yes. Many clients begin with one of our existing home plans and customize it around their land, lifestyle, budget, and design preferences. Many clients begin with ideas from an existing Beaver Mountain home and reshape them around their land, lifestyle, anticipated investment, and design preferences. Others begin with a completely custom concept. In either case, the finished home is designed specifically for the client and property.Others start with a completely custom design. Either way, our goal is to create a home that fits the way you want to live.
Yes. If you do not yet have a builder, Beaver Mountain can help identify and recruit qualified contractors in your region. We also coordinate directly with your builder once they are selected, helping align plans, materials, structural systems, delivery, and construction support.
Custom home costs vary by region, site conditions, design complexity, home size, building system, and finish selections. Just as importantly, not every estimate represents the same scope. A materials package price is not the same as the cost of a completed home.
Every project is different, and a conversation about your specific site, design goals, and budget will give you a much more accurate picture than any general estimate can. That conversation is exactly what our Feasibility Consultation is designed for. We talk through your vision, your site, and your investment range, and give you an honest picture of what is realistic before any money changes hands.
