Tumbleweed began with a highly personal vision. The homeowner, who is also an architect, came to Beaver Mountain with a floorplan designed to fit the property, separate private bedroom spaces from the main living areas, and create a home that could welcome family and friends with ease.
The interiors reflect a confident mix of modern, artistic, and rustic details. Rich log walls, exposed beams, colorful accents, and a dramatic, modern kitchen give the home a personality all its own. From the oversized island to the cozy window nook, each space reflects the owner’s creativity and the collaborative design process behind the home.
At 2,884 square feet, Tumbleweed offers plenty of living space without feeling overwhelming. One wing includes the bedrooms, bathrooms, and storage areas, creating privacy away from the main gathering spaces. The other wing opens into the great room, chef’s kitchen, walk-in pantry, half bath, and loft.
A porch running the length of the great room creates a natural connection to the outdoors and joins a large back deck at the center of the home. Inside, the fireplace anchors the main living space, adding warmth, character, and the classic comfort of a custom log home.
The result is a one-of-a-kind custom log home with two distinct wings, a natural interior flow, and generous gathering spaces inside and out. Because of the home’s unique angles, the logs were custom-cut to support the design and bring the architectural vision to life.
