George and Karen brought their vision to Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes. “I want to build my “Field of Dreams”…I want my grandchildren to visit often and all of them to grow up knowing one another.” She had a location that called for a log home and again, Beaver Mountain was able to help her make her dream come true. A clever design makes it possible for the couple to use the main part of the house for just themselves, but when three children and eight grandchildren show up, the guest suites accommodate everyone. A Wolf^® range and an expanding table can be opened up to seat a crowd. The Great Room faces the lake and the wall is almost entirely glass.

The home’s huge fireplace and scenic views help make it a welcoming haven. Clever furniture placements add to the appeal and the varying styles blend well. Karen has added a touch of color with interior walls done in painted drywall that accentuate the patina of the wood on the outer walls. Their custom home fills their needs very well. Karen said, “There is nothing better than a cup of coffee on the deck in the absolute quiet before the day begins.” George and Karen’s “Field of Dreams” is now a reality.
