Set on the serene shores of Hinckley Lake, the Kuyahoora Lodge is a one-of-a-kind custom home that brings together luxury timber frame living, hybrid log construction, and deeply personal design. Created in collaboration with Rich Home Building, this Adirondack-inspired lodge reflects the homeowner’s vision, the builder’s craftsmanship, and Beaver Mountain’s precision-crafted materials and technical support.
The design was inspired by the feeling of a Great Camp, with expansive gathering spaces, warm wood interiors, dramatic stonework, custom railings, and architectural details that give the home a strong sense of place. From the soaring Great Room and lake-facing windows to the covered porches, wine cellar, elevator, recreation spaces, and guest suites, every part of the home was shaped around comfort, hospitality, and long-term enjoyment.
Throughout the project, Beaver Mountain worked closely with Rich Home Building to help bring the design to life with engineered components, coordinated materials, and the craftsmanship standards needed for a home of this scale and complexity. The result is a richly detailed custom lodge that feels both grand and personal, with spaces designed for gathering, retreating, and enjoying life by the water.
The name “Kuyahoora” is drawn from the Native American word for the West Canada Creek, often translated as “slanting or leaping waters,” a fitting connection to the home’s lakeside setting and Adirondack character.
Today, the Kuyahoora Lodge stands as an extraordinary example of what can happen when homeowner vision, builder expertise, and Beaver Mountain craftsmanship come together from the very beginning.
