The beauty of a custom log home is how it is one of a kind, uniquely built to reflect your lifestyle. The Holsapple family loves to play games, enjoys entertaining friends and family, and spends a great deal of time outside. We met with the family and took these priorities into account, as well as the terrain of their property to give them a home that provided all the comforts and conveniences they could want.
With over 2,300 square feet of living space, every inch has been thought out and well planned. The kitchen was designed with multifunction in mind. Custom cabinetry provides ample storage space and the peninsula can serve as a breakfast or lunch bar or as a buffet when the owners want to entertain. The great room provides plenty of space to gather for holidays or parties and fits a large dining table. Yet it feels cozy and relaxing with spectacular views of the property and a stone fireplace that is the heart of the home. There are two bedrooms on the main level, one full and one half bath, and a laundry room. The second level boasts a large master suite that includes a sitting room, master bath, and a loft that overlooks the great room. A designer touch of half logs with wrought iron and wood railings completes both sets of stairs.
The real showstopper is the lower level. The walk-out game room was designed for making memories and having fun. This family enjoys their games – any and all types. With that in mind, we made sure there were enough electrical outlets to accommodate the variety of video games, lights, sound system, televisions, and any other needs they have. The bar provides a place to entertain and grab a bite or a beverage in between poker hands or a pinball, shuffleboard, or bowling game. The beautiful stone patio outside provides more entertaining space and is overlooked by the upstairs deck.
The detached two car garage isn’t just for vehicles. It provides even more living space and features a home office and living area on the second level.
The Holsapple family wanted their outdoor space to be as inviting as their home, and much thought and planning went into creating an outdoor oasis. The firepit has built-in seating and firewood storage. A log treehouse and gazebo are the crowning jewels to a yard that is as pleasing to the eye as it is relaxing for the soul. The Holsapple log cabin is a perfect example of how Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes can take very unique ideas and turn them into your dream home.
