With Father’s Day just around the corner, we thought it might be fun to round up some of our team’s favorite gift ideas! We know how hard our guys are to shop for (although we must add that a design consultation with us for a custom log home would be a fabulous gift!)
For the coffee lover:
Upstate Coffee Roasters is one of our favorite small coffee companies! They’re located in Gloversville, NY and have some great hand roasted beans. You can’t go wrong with their Cayuga Lake artisan blend, or if you like something lighter, try their Lake George single origin bean!
Also not to be overlooked, a good Espresso machine to go along with your artisan beans! The Bambino espresso machine from Breville makes grabbing your morning latte easy and quick! It even has a steamer to foam your milk perfectly, or get instant hot water!
For the Chef:
Grills are always a good solid choice for the guy who loves to cook! The Blackstone is a favorite around here, with different sizes to fit your life! If you love to camp, grab the 17″ or 22″, but for serious grilling for a group, the 36″ is the way to go!
For the Fishing Enthusiast:
Our area of the Catskills has some of the best fly fishing in NYS! Fisherman flock to the Delaware every year to try their hand at fly fishing. If you have a guy in your life who loves fishing and might enjoy trying fly fishing, we have some Father’s Day gift ideas for you! Locally, Troutfitter, West Branch Angler and River of Life Outdoor Adventures all offer lessons and/or guided fly fishing trips!
Luckily, there are lots of places to stay in the area if you are planning a trip! Hancock House Hotel, Deposit Motel, Catskill A Frame, Troutfitter Inn, Bass Cabins, even our very own model homes have been made into an VRBO with new owners! It’s a great place to visit any time of year, but the summer is truly magical. Warm nights with crickets chirping and soft summer breezes make it a beautiful experience!
