One look at the Tumbleweed log home and you can tell it is one of a kind. Its unique floorplan was created when a customer, who is also an architect, came to Beaver Mountain with a vision for his home that could fit his property, separate the bedrooms from the main living space to provide privacy, and allow plenty of space to entertain indoors and out. Together we came up with a design that separated entertaining and living space from the bedrooms but still had a natural flow and is cohesive. With a design as unique as this, the logs for this home were custom cut to meet the angles of the floorplan.
The façade of the Tumbleweed is pleasantly deceiving. With a total of 2,884 square feet of living space and two separate wings, the home provides plenty of space but doesn’t overwhelm. One wing includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and storage and is a clever way to provide privacy. The other wing is an open concept that includes the great room, chef’s kitchen with walk-in pantry, half bathroom and a loft.
A porch that runs the length of the great room provides a natural connection to the outside and joins to a large back deck in the center of the home. As with many Beaver Mountain homes, the centerpiece of the Tumbleweed is a grand fireplace that serves not just a functional purpose to help heat the home, but also provides ambiance and that cozy log home feel.
The owner’s unique sense of style is a combination of modern, artistic with a hint of rustic and can be seen woven throughout the entire house. The kitchen is centered around an oversized island with an earthy granite slab that brings the outside in. There are pops of red in light fixtures, accent walls, furniture, and in bathroom tiles. There is even a cozy nook that looks out into the yard and has a message inscribed around the window. The beauty of working with our design team is that we not only create the home for you to live in, but can also consult and work with you on the interior to truly bring your vision to life.
