Total Living Space 4,987 Sq. Ft. – Main Level 1,940 Sq. Ft. – Upper Level 1,106 Sq. Ft.
The Gerald cedar timber home exemplifies outdoor living with the perfect combination of luxury and comfort. With approximately 5,000 square feet of living space, this sprawling home feels like a retreat designed and built with a mixture of red cedar, stack stone and flagstone providing a connection to nature with no detail too small.
The front porch offers a preview to the generous outdoor living space around the house with a wrap-around deck and lower level patio and firepit. The owners wanted a unique outdoor entertaining space that was protected from the elements but still open and airy. Together we designed the large outdoor kitchen, equipped with modern amenities including a custom bar with built-in grill, ample space for full sized appliances, a bathroom, and plenty of seating to accommodate a large group, while still feeling cozy for a quaint gathering as well. The fireplace is perfect for making brick oven pizzas, roasting marshmallows, or relaxing with a good book.
In the heart of the open concept home is the kitchen, where memories and meals are made. Custom finishes and amenities like reclaimed beams flanking the ceiling, slate countertops, a butcherblock island with seating, an additional prep sink and a custom range are ideal for the home chef. The main level allows for maximum use of the space and is ideal for entertaining large groups but retains a cozy feel with the stone fireplace and clever use of furniture in creating intimate conversation areas. The wrap-around loft upstairs provides plenty of space for family gaming, as well as cozy nooks for reading and relaxing.
The bedrooms are in a separate wing of the home, a peaceful retreat set apart from the main living space. In addition to a large bedroom, the master suite includes a spacious walk-in closet and spa bathroom. The lower level includes two bedrooms, one of which has four bunk beds built in to maximize space and create room for guests. There are four bedrooms in total, as well as an office, dedicated laundry room and guest apartment with kitchen.
The multi-faceted, red cedar timber home has been a huge success with the Gerald family and was a culmination of many dreams all in one home. How can we work with you to create your dream home?
