Total Living Space 3,414 Sq. Ft. – Main Level 2,176 Sq. Ft. – Upper Level 1,238 Sq. Ft.
Every Beaver Mountain log home is unique and has a story to tell. When you see a design feature that you find interesting, there is a specific reason it came to be part of a home’s design.
The Foley Log home was built in memory of their son who they lost on 9/11. They built this home to welcome friends and family to gather in his honor and memory, so every detail mattered. They chose a lodge look for their home to host guests. Creating spaces to hold precious memories was paramount. Every square foot of this open floor plan allows for comfortable entertaining both indoors and out.
With approximately 3,500 square feet of livable space, there is an ample great room, a spacious dining room ensconced in windows off of the kitchen designed to cook for a crowd and a mudroom that is large enough to make sure no mud will ever make it inside after a day of hiking, hunting, or fishing
Most of the exterior of the home is wrapped by a porch and there is an expansive deck off the great room. Inside, the Foleys chose a light colored logs (what kind are they?) which, in addition to the many windows, ensures that the interior is bright and airy.
The kitchen includes pops of color with red appliances, makes it truly unique. Every inch is used creatively to provide storage, such as the corner bread cabinet with roll away door, and pantry cabinets. To show how you can never have enough logs in your home, the beds, dining room table and chairs and bar stools are also made of logs!
It was important to the Foley’s to create spaces to keep their son’s memorabilia displayed and spaces to sit and talk. The great room is large enough to display hunting memorabilia while still intimate to sit and have a fireside chat.
There are two guest bedrooms and a full bathroom on the main level and the second level is the master level, and includes a spacious bathroom, balcony and a storage room.
The lodge look and feel of the Foley home is a great example of how a traditional log home can suit many different needs. We look forward to working with you to design your dream log home.
