Perched on top of a hillside, with porch and balcony views for miles, the Bass Timber Frame Home provides functional design with comfort and relaxation inside and out.
When the owners approached Beaver Mountain Log Homes to collaborate on this home design, they had many design features they were considering. When they mentioned the stone fireplace in the master bedroom, we knew comfort was top of mind. Their choice to use bluestone, native to where the home is built, and blend it with native red cedar timbers on the exterior and interior created a unique design element that is used seamlessly throughout the house and is a nod to the land the home is built on.
The total living space is a spacious 3,280 square feet. The main level is 2,032 square feet and is anchored by the living room, with a floor to ceiling bluestone fireplace, and wine bar which is perfect for entertaining. Large windows look out to the porch which has views for miles. The large kitchen has a stone wrapped peninsula that offers plenty of seating as well as a spacious dining room. There is an office off the kitchen that provides privacy. The two car garage is connected by a large mudroom off the kitchen and adjacent laundry room, offering convenience and function. On the opposite side of the main level is the master suite and features a large deck, a master bathroom retreat and large walk-in closet.
The second level has 1,248 square feet of living space and features two ample bedrooms with private balconies, a full bathroom, and a loft with balcony overlooking the living room.
The Bass Timber Frame Home showcases a mixture of textiles and colors. Wrought iron balusters on the staircase and loft balcony add a touch of rustic elegance. The stonework on the exterior, both fireplaces and kitchen peninsula in contrast with the cedar timbers throughout with their natural knots and marks provide the warmth of nature. In the kitchen and bedrooms, we’ve incorporated walls of drywall to break up any one texture and create a design element as unique as the home itself. The kitchen features custom cabinetry, ceiling beams, exquisite tilework and granite countertops.
The Bass Timber Frame Home exhibits many of the unique design features Beaver Mountain offers to help you build the home of your dreams.
