Background: Bachelors of Science degree in Education from SUNY Cortland, construction with local craftsman/contractor Pete Hathaway, a Field Technician for Beaver Mountain starting approximately 100 homes, experience in almost every shop department in Beaver Mountain’s manufacturing facility that gave knowledge of how and why things are done at BM
Best Part of the Job: “The ability to meet new people and work with them in completing their dream home and the ability to educate curious clients about log homes and the construction process brings me great joy. The way I felt when I used to build homes still holds true to this job; I have always found a sense of accomplishment when leaving the jobsite everyday knowing that the work I did has played a part in creating a structure that never existed there before and will be there for many generations.”
Interests: Travel (he’d like to visit most – if not all – of the Wonders of the World) and hunting with a bow or muzzle loader. As long as he is doing something outdoors, he is happy, whether it’s going on walks and hikes on the family’s land with his beautiful fiancé Alicia and dog Maivei, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, or relaxing by a bonfire or on a sandy beach on some island. Staying involved with construction also interests Nick; he spends a lot of time making modifications and additions to the Beaver Mountain home he lives in with Alicia.
