Beaver Mountain is very excited to have Francie Cook join our team. For over 30 years, Francie Cook has been active in the building industry. Having a passion for helping to make people’s dream homes become a reality, she is proud to say that she’s been directly involved in the designing, estimating and building of over 2,000 homes!
After graduating from SUNY Delhi, Francie started off here at Beaver Mountain as a Design Consultant for ten years. She went on to become a Licensed New York State Realtor in 2001 and even served as a director for the Broome County Board of Realtors from 2009-2013. Her experience also expands into commercial building, including restaurants, medical offices, and retail, industrial and financial facilities.
Beaver Mountain welcomed Francie back in 2013 and she currently holds the position of Regional Sales Manager for the Central & Western New York markets, along with the Southeastern Canada markets as well. She looks forward to guiding many more clients through every step of the building process!
Outside of work, Francie is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of one; she is a very proud Navy mom, as her son is a Petty Officer 2nd Class on the USS Eisenhower. Francie loves to do anything outdoors, but mostly go for a walk in the woods, kayak or cross country ski. Even though she is always designing, painting or working on home projects, Francie makes sure she finds the time to be a Sunday afternoon football fan.
Beaver Mountain recognizes John Lanner, Sr. Design Consultant, as “Most Valuable Performer” for 2013 for his “Can Do” attitude, especially when it came to accommodating our clients’ busy schedules for meetings and adhering to deadlines for design work. It sometimes even meant switching days off and working evenings and weekends to get the job done. John had been a member of the Beaver Mountain family for over 15 years and brings extensive log, timber and cedar homes building knowledge to the design process for his clients.
Beaver Mountain also recognizes Chris Weyer, Regional Sales Consultant, as “Top Sales Performer” for 2013, the 2nd year in a row. Over 50% of Chris’ sales are from referrals, as a result of the extra effort and care that goes into each relationship with his clients and business alliances. Chris has been a member of the Beaver Mountain family since 1999 and says that he “derives a great deal of satisfaction in managing and coordinating a successful home building project.”
“Congratulations to both of you and Thank You for helping to make 2013 another successful year!”

When you’re planning and designing your custom log or timber frame home, the land you’re building on makes a big difference. Some property has amazing views across the valley, which lends itself well to a wall of windows in the great room. Or maybe you’re looking for something a little less rustic to fit into a community. Or it could be a lake-front property, which could take advantage of a cozier timber frame with huge beams and posts to accent the exterior. Whatever the space looks like, we can help you design the perfect home for it.
To start the design process, we offer site visits for our clients. One of our advisers and a designer will meet you (and your builder if you’ve chosen one) at your site. We’ll walk the site with you, discussing what your vision is for your home. And then we’ll look at the constraints of the land. It’s all part of the higher level of service you’ll get with a Beaver Mountain custom home.
